I honor diversity and seek to provide inclusivity for all races, religions, sexual orientations, abilities, and identities. The space in front of my lens is one in which you are welcome to be who you are, to express your love as you wish, and to tell the story that your heart seeks to tell.
All sessions require a $100 nonrefundable retainer via cash or Zelle and a signed contract to secure your date/time on the calendar. The retainer will be credited toward your session fee. Please note that choosing a site that goes beyond my usual travel radius (30 mins of Yorkville) or that requires a permit or parking fees may alter the overall cost of your session; we will discuss this in advance, as applicable. All fees must be paid in full by the beginning of your session. Although the charges in my standard price list are subject to periodic adjustments, your contract + retainer will secure the price listed upon booking.
No refunds will be given for client cancellation after booking, but you may use your retainer toward a future date/time if cancellation occurs with at least 24 hours notice of your session.
Reshoots are determined at the discretion of the photographer within the specific context of the session. In case of inclement weather (i.e. lightning or downpours), the client and photographer must agree upon a re-shoot date. If the photographer is unable to perform the session due to illness or emergency, we will make every effort to reschedule the session; however, if this is not possible, your retainer will be returned and neither party will have any further liability.
The photographer is not responsible for the attitudes of clients. While I will make every effort possible to get smiles and engagement out of everyone, if any individual arrives ill, tired, crying, or grumpy, your photos may reflect that. Refunds, discounts, or reshoots are not provided for attitudes.
I recommend that you plan to arrive at least 10-15 minutes ahead of your scheduled session; late arrivals will cut into the time allotted for your session.
Note - for small or very shy children, please understand that a starter or mini session (when offered) might not be appropriate if the child takes time to warm up to the photographer or the camera. A longer session is recommended in these circumstances so that we can take our time and work at the child's pace.
All images © Erin Evans - any editing/altering of images must be done by CC Shutterbug. It is illegal to copy, scan, or alter images created by Erin Evans, owner of CC Shutterbug. The photographer retains the right of discretion in selecting the photographic materials released to the client. I do not release RAW images, and I do not provide "all" photos from any session and reserve the right to cull based on repeats, quality, angles, composites, etc.
All images are intellectual property of Erin Evans and may be used by the photographer for social media marketing and/or website/portfolio use unless otherwise articulated by the client in writing upon booking. Use of images by the photographer will not result in compensation for the client. Model Release approval must be made by a parent/guardian if any photo session participants are less than 18 years of age. The client's permission for Model Release is irrevocable and perpetual once images are posted. Permission for Model Release acknowledges all individuals present for the photo session.
Galleries will be available to the client within two weeks of the scheduled session, and galleries will be available for three months on the photographer's website. After three months, all image files will be purged from the photographer's SD cards, hard drive, editing software, and website at the photographer's discretion, except as needed for promotional purposes determined by the photographer as the owner of the images.
Clients shall only use prints for personal use only -- printing, personal social media pages, etc.--and images shall not be submitted to contests or commercial organizations without consent from and creative credit to the photographer.
All images will be delivered via an online gallery. For printing, I recommend printing at www.mpix.com from the high resolution files that you've downloaded to your computer (not from your cell phone, which compresses the files--saving images to your cell phone is ok for social media but will not yield good print quality).
Not everyone wants their photos to be posted on my website or to my business social media pages (Facebook and Instagram). That's ok!! Just let me know in writing upon booking your session and your images will be kept private and password-protected for your eyes only or for you to share only with those whom YOU wish to share--no questions asked.
All images are owned as intellectual property by CC Shutterbug (Erin Evans), so not disclosing in writing upon booking that you wish not to have your images posted means images may be subject for social media marketing or website/portfolio use © CC Shutterbug (Erin Evans).
Please do not bring outside cameras/camcorders (including cell phone cameras) or other photographers to your session. Take this time to unplug, relax, and enjoy without outside distractions.
